July 6, 2005 Dear Sir or Madam, It is with pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation for Mr. Ryan Spevack, one of our students here at UAT. Having known Ryan over the past few years, I am most pleased to give very positive recommendation on his behalf. Having worked with collegiate-aged students for many years, I have found few to be as memorable as Ryan and I fully expect one day to see his name on a producer credit. While at our institution, Ryan has produced more completed films than just about every other student we have had. He is truly a leader. While participating in student government during its formative years, Ryan was valuable in shaping it into what it is today and even created its Website. During his leadership activities, he experienced all the dynamics of student teams and the challenges of bringing a diverse group towards a common goal. Through these interactions, both good and frustrating, I saw in Ryan an eye for what completed outcomes look like, persistence towards getting the job done and a desire to learn both the technical and business traits that the next project was better than the last. During his time at the University, Ryan has also built a reputation for being an impressive innovator, determined to overcome even the most difficult obstacles. As a student interested in how technology and business interact, Ryan developed a curriculum proposal on how to incorporate the two for more entrepreneurial interested students. The initiative he showed was impressive, and the proposal is something we are seriously considering integrating into our program review. Ryan’s passion for producing movies his leadership skills and individual drive leave little doubt in my mind that he will reach his goal to make it in the film industry. For these reasons and more, I recommend Ryan. If you wish to talk further about him, I would look forward to speaking with you. David B.
